*Curtain falls* revealing the boys looking all spangly in new costumes...
Crowd goes mental!
Oh my bob! It was sooooo good.
Gee exclusively revealed that The Black Parade was the title of the new album (like the Rmy didn't already know that!)
They did a great mix of old and new songs... they were amazing - especially considering only a few weeks prior Bob and Gee were injured! The new songs were utterly amazing... House of Wolves Cancer Dead and I Don't Love You
Wow. They are all amazing... I honestly can not explain how good it was. I can not wait until October.
Gee's voice was fantastic, maybe even beter than before. Bob owns everything! He was fantastic... Frankie, I couldn't see all that well.. him=short and other side of stage + me=short. But he rocked! Ray... what can I say - he is a god anybryer and he just gets better! Mikey - I even shouted "Feed Mikey" in the middle of the set (tho I doubt anyone could hear as my voise had gone). He is unbelievable... and he was walking about alot more too! I love Cancer, when they were playing it, everyone was completely transfixed... honestly everyone was standing there... I felt kinda bad for the boys right then, I hoped that they got that we loved it andf thats why we were all completely still, not that we didn't like it.
Bless him... Gee even did his British accent.... Ah that boy makes me laugh! He did his motivation bit too...
All in all = AMAZING!
Oh - various mags were taking pics of the parade earlier in the day... and you can see me in the latest copy of NME!!!! You can see Me, Hannah and Shell!
I can not describe how much I am loving My Chem at the min...
Oh and I bought new merch! Woot! I got the Dead hoodie and the parade t-shirt!
Im FINALLY getting round to posting my review of the MCR, sorry The Black Parade, show at Hammersmith Palais on August 22nd.
Ok... So.
Firtsly I should explain that I am part of the MCR Street Team, and on this occasion I am getting involved in doing something at the show...
I head towards Liverpool Street to meet Shelly for 9am. Its so funny on the train, all the serious working types heading in to work, and me, pin strip black suit, black shirt and red tie, and full makeup.
I find Shell, and just a few mins later Kerry joins us. We head over to Hammersmith to find Starr and her Mum.... and join the already large line. Making ourselves comfy on the pavement we natter, and are joined by various others...
-----Skips to 2pm------
So... picture this..... Shelly, Kerry, Starr, Starr's mum, Hannah and me all dressed up as a funeral parade running through Hammersmith towards the Appollo because we think we are late. Once we get to the Appollo we meet the other funeral parade kids (there is about 12 of us) adn we all stand there like idiots for ages waiting for the organizers of this parade.
After much speculation that it was all a gag and the boys were going to drive past and yell "Haaa suckers!" the organizers turn up. They distribute posters saying:
"The Black Parade is coming.... 23/10/2006
Join the procession www.theblackparade.com"
for us to give out, and forms. These forms are for us to go round and ask people if they would like to sign up for a free email newsletter about MCR and other bands. Originally 6 people were chosen, and these 6 got huge placards to carry - Shell was one of them.
We head towards the Palais and the line... and start to hand out posters, get people to sign up and generally shout things such as "The Black Parade is coming!" and "We are The Black Parade!"
We do this until 5.30pm when we meet back at the train station (where Shell, Kerry, Hannah, Starr, Starr' smum and me got chucked out of earlier in the day for getting people to sing up to the newsletter) for "the big stunt"
We stand outside for a while, and start to sing various MCR songs as loudly as possible. The funnies thing was when we all just stopped in the middle of Helana as we all forgot the words and erupted into mas laughter!
We move into the station and mill about a bit, until some mysterious people dressed in black appear (see previous piicture - you can see all the people in black).. at first there were only 5...
5 people in black...
5 band members...
But no... twasn't the boys. In the end there are 20 spooky people in black. And we head out into London... lead in single file by the black robe people, followed by the 6 funeral paraders with the placards and then us all dressed up in twos...
This silent parade walks through the streets (stopping traffic as we all cross roads!), until we get to the front of the Palais and the line, where we all start shouting and trying to get the line shouting and screaming too. (See the picture I posted a while ago!)
(Oh at one point we had to shut up, as we scared the crap out of a whole coach load of kids...)
So my voice has pretty much gone by the time we have even got into the show.
---- Skips to where MCR are about to come onto the stage-----
A voice over lady announces - Due to unforseen circumstance My Chemical Romance are unable to appear tonight Crowd, unbelieving but understanding the que for a big - BOOOOOOO A noise of an EGC starts - the same as on the TBP teaser Louise - Oh my bob! *Curtain falls* revealing the boys looking all spangly in new costumes...
(ten days before the show, my arse, its Thurday now and the show is on Tuesday)
I am so overly excited.
Ah. Other than annoying the hell out of Vicky (at work) about the show (I keep saying squeeee when ever I think abotu it), I haven't been doing much.
Just working.
Oh but for the past two days at work I have managed to be in the pub by 10.30 am.
I think that is quite an achievement, considering I was working both times. I guess i should explain... I had meetings in the two pubs with the managers. Yes I know not the most logical connection - a pub and a conservation charity... but think outside the box as they say! :)
I've gone past the mad/ upset stage about work. We had a mystery visitor at the ABB, the report wasn't great. But Im at the stage where I think it isn't my fault and no one thinks it is... but I can't help thinking that I should do more to push membership... but you know if people don't want to join there is no w*y I can force them. Bah. Work sucks. And they are going to cut 2 days a week out of my job.
Hohum. You know this whole "real life" thing sucks. :)
Hi. I am playing with how my LJ looks... its not going so well... teehee.
I haven't been on here much recently. There hasn't been much going on. (Unless you cound reading all the theories on The Black Parade... any ideas anyone?)
Works ok. It looks like Im gonna need a new job/ another job... as by April they are going to split my job and make it only 3 days a week.
Oh, to those that know Rui - she sends everyone her love!
I don't know. There has been a lot going on, and also not a lot at the same time? You know what I mean? Work is mad, people (i.e. reserves manager from CERO) keep wining that RM's recruitment figures aren't up to target, and I say pah. Well not to the reserve manager cos he would probably fire me, but in my head I say pah, and that its there fault anyway. Pah!
My great uncle died in the week. I didn't really know him, I only actually met him a few times (that I can remember), but still I find myself morning for the family member that has been lost. I dunno, its like im morning for what could've been, you know? The great uncle/ great niece relationship thta could've been. May be I realise that life is passing to quickly and things that could've and should've been done haven't. We never know what tomorrow may bring. Live life to the full. Or so I tell my self when ever I get in these moods, but I don't know if I ever do. Huh, its funny. People I mean.
"Cash, cheque or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked. "No," she replied, "but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally."
i have now finished university now - FOREVER. oddness. it feels kinda wierd. it hasn't actually sunk in..... although it does feel like i should be doing revision.
well i have had two days of nothing (except tv and trying to find places to put my mass amounts of uni work) and im bored already.
